Korea Smart Card is supplying T-MONEY card readers to all taxis in Seoul, to make payment by taxi easy on top of bus / subway. with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, they also introduced safe return home alarm service for women using QR code but laid poor using performances.

When passenger take the actual QR code, the taxi driver may feel they are potential criminals. The solution is to let the passengers use this service without any action and Korea Smart Card asked Chipsen all the taxi information can be transferred to tcard readers using beacons.

Passengers can receive all information like when they take a taxi, when they drive, which taxi they take, how much the fare is, where they start and where they arrive to their and their family members’ smart phones. Currently, this beacon system has been installed in all taxis, and we are collaborating not only with Korean smart cards but also with other platform users. Chipsen contributes to the smart and safe life of the citizens of Seoul.
